1. Resource Planning

   • Resource planning is a complicated process involving three steps:

     • संसाधन योजना एक जटिल प्रक्रिया है जिसमें तीन चरण शामिल होते हैं:

     (i) Identification and Survey of Resources
     - Surveying and mapping of resources across the country. - पूरे देश में संसाधनों की पहचान और सर्वेक्षण करना।

     (ii) Planning with Technology and Institutions
     - Developing a planning system with the right technology, skills, and institutions. - सही तकनीक, कौशल और संस्थानों के साथ एक योजना प्रणाली विकसित करना।

     (iii) Matching Resource Plans with National Development Plans
     - Aligning resource development with national development goals. - संसाधन विकास को राष्ट्रीय विकास योजनाओं से मिलाना।

2. Efforts in India for Resource Planning:

   • India has worked hard on resource planning since the First Five Year Plan after independence.
   • भारत ने स्वतंत्रता के बाद से प्रथम पंचवर्षीय योजना से संसाधन योजना पर कड़ी मेहनत की है।

3. Resources and Development:

   • Resources are important for the development of any region, but without proper technology and institutions, development cannot happen.

   • Some regions like Punjab have fewer resources but are economically developed due to better technology and human resources.

6. Impact of Colonisation:

   • During colonisation, rich resources in colonies attracted foreign invaders who used advanced technology to exploit these regions.
