BCCI appoints Chetan Sharma as chairman of selection committee

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) proposed Abbey Kuruvilla, Chetan Sharma and Debasis Mohanty as national selectors for the Indian cricket team. Talking to ANI, Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) chief Madan Lal confirmed the choice. “Yes, they need been appointed. Now, the one who has played maximum matches are going to be the chief,” he said.

A three-members Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) presided by Madan Lal, Sulakshana Naik and RP Singh held the interviews for national selectors for Indian cricket.

The same committee had appointed Sunil Joshi and Harvinder Singh as national selectors earlier this year.

Former India blower Ajit Agarkar had also applied for the post of national selector. Ajit Agarkar was being pitted because the winner for the post as he has played 200 matches for India, but within the end, he wasn't selected for the role.
